You may be asked to make some amends to your work – particularly as you begin on a new project. This is a normal, expected part of the process for all content creators and is accounted for in the payment for the work, as per the agreement. As you get more used to the brief, it’s expected that this will happen less, but it is still a possibility
Copy editors, if you find you are making substantial changes rather than correcting typos, grammatical mistakes or the occasional phrase, you should request amends from the copywriter or translator. You should clearly explain the issues, including examples, and provide practical techniques for how to fix them
Remember to always be supportive and considerate in all your communications. Sometimes the tone and meaning don’t come across as intended in writing and across languages, so please give one another the benefit of the doubt
