What are amends?
Updated over a year ago

Making amends (short for amendments) is an important part of the creation process.

Amends on commerce content projects

Reviewers will request amends when a piece of content doesn't meet the brief. Changes may also be requested if the content falls short of our standards. You should expect to receive at least one round of amends on the work you submit.

You will receive an email notification when amends have been requested on your work. It is then your responsibility to check all of your allocations against the feedback provided and make amends where necessary.

Please note that the issues highlighted in the feedback may appear in more places than the example given. It is your responsibility to assess the rest of the piece and allocation, and make the appropriate alterations throughout.

It's important to be thorough and diligent when making amends. If a reviewer discovers an amend had not been applied, they will push the content back for more work. With practice, you'll become adept at applying amends quickly and efficiently.

How to make amends

You will receive an email notification when amends have been requested on your assignment. The email will let you know the following:

  • Account/project

  • Who has requested the amends

  • Number of tasks

  • Deadline

To make the amends on J+ Scribe, click the blue button, 'Work on your assignment', make your changes and submit the piece(s).

You can tell where comments have been made as you will see highlighted text or comment icons with three dots in them.
