Please select your discipline(s) from the list below to find out what you'll need to do to complete your application to join our global talent pool.

Copywriters

Screening should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete.

You’ll need to complete an automated language proficiency task. All questions are multiple choice.

If successful you'll be automatically approved in J+ Community as a copywriter in your first language, and you'll receive invitations to apply for freelance copywriting opportunities with Jellyfish.

Translators

Screening should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete.

You’ll need to complete an automated language proficiency task. All questions are multiple choice.

If successful you'll be automatically approved in J+ Community as a translator in your first language, and you'll receive invitations to apply for freelance translation, localization and transcreation opportunities with Jellyfish.

Copy Editors

Screening should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete.

You’ll need to complete an automated language proficiency task. All questions are multiple choice.

If successful you'll be asked to complete an additional editing skills task, which should take between 30-40 minutes to complete.

If your first language is English and you're successful in these two stages…

You'll be asked to complete core skills training.

Core skills consists of three training modules which are designed to set copy editors up for success on Jellyfish projects:

The modules can be found by logging into your J+ Community account > Tasks > To do.

Once complete, your tasks will be reviewed by a member of Jellyfish's Content team and you'll receive feedback.

If successful in all 3 training modules, you will be approved as a copy editor on J+ Community and you will receive invitations to apply for copy editing opportunities at Jellyfish.

SEO Consultants

You'll be invited to complete a series of SEO screening questions to help Jellyfish's SEO team understand your skills and experience. You'll be asked to provide a link to your portfolio and you'll be assessed based on your content SEO experience and technical SEO experience. This should take roughly 15 minutes to complete.

If successful you will be approved in J+ Community as an SEO Consultant by a member of Jellyfish's team. You will receive invitations to apply for technical and/or content-based SEO opportunities with Jellyfish.

UX Designers

You'll be invited to complete a series of UX design screening questions to help Jellyfish's Design team understand your skills and previous experience. You'll also be asked to provide a link to your portfolio. This should take roughly 15 minutes to complete. If you're invited to join the J+ Community you'll receive invitations to apply for UX design opportunities with Jellyfish.

Why does Jellyfish screen candidates?

The J+ Community is an extension of the Jellyfish talent pool and we want to ensure that our members have the experience and skill sets that our projects require.

Our screening process is specifically tailored to the type of content we offer our clients. This ensures that we’re consistently delivering high-quality work. Rest assured, our process is specific to Jellyfish’s needs, and is in no way a reflection of a candidate's skill set in other content types or areas.

When will I find out if my application has been approved or not?

You will be notified by email if you are successful and if you are approved as a new member of the J+ Community.

You can also log into your J+ Community account to check on the status of your application.

What happens when my application is approved?

We'll email you as soon as an opportunity arises on a client project that matches your market, experience and specialism(s). As this is dependent on our current roster of projects, waiting times may vary – please bear with us.
