Updated over a week ago

When we're looking for a Content Quality Lead for a project, we invite the copy editors in the community whose language matches the needs of the project to apply. For this role we look for a superstar copy editor with amazing attention to detail, who's adept at motivating and leading teams.

On different projects, the role of the Content Quality Lead can vary but the core responsibilities are likely to be:

Feedback categories

  1. Brief specific – these amends cover anything that conflicts with the brief, for example using a banned word or not adhering to a naming formula.

  2. Non-brief specific – these amends are not currently covered by our brief but we can update the brief so that the client will not need to make this amendment request on the next batch we deliver.

  3. Objective – these amends are errors in the text that are objectively incorrect, for example typos, missing words and grammatical mistakes.

  4. Non-scalable (preferential) – these amends are preferential changes that we cannot anticipate or reflect in the brief, such as requests for slight changes of phrasing.

The quality score is the percentage of pieces without brief specific or objective changes needed. We aim for a quality score of 99%. In instances where we're not reaching this score, generally we need to give the team more support and training.
